Stralende Chaos (Radiant Chaos)

An explosion of color from the center, where everything wants to happen at once.
A study in energy, built from fire and cooling.

Stralende Chaos

The canvas opens with a warm glow of orange and peach, flowing down into soft lilac and cooling to mint and turquoise on the right. From the center, everything bursts outward: red, yellow, green, purple and turquoise, crossed by black lines, white dotted trails and streaks that fly off like sparks. The fine lines are drawn with a thin brush, the thick paint is applied with a palette knife, and different tools were used for each of the shapes.

No single color takes the lead. Every shade wants to be seen at the same time, and yet the whole radiates toward one point in the center. Chaos, but with a core. That is where the name comes from: an explosion that doesn’t fall apart, but gives off light.

This is what it looks like in my head when everything is switched on at once. An idea for a new canvas, a color I saw yesterday and can’t let go of, tomorrow’s to-do list, a song that keeps playing. Everything rushes through each other, each with its own color and its own speed. And somewhere in the middle there is that one point where it all comes together. This canvas is that moment: not the calm after the chaos, but the chaos that is simply allowed to shine.
