Privacy Policy
Sissi Art is responsible for the processing of personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
WHEN IS DATA PROCESSED
When visiting the website (portfolio), when making contact via email or the contact form, when signing up for Letters from Sissi, or when getting in touch about artworks, commissions, or exhibitions.
WHAT DATA
Email address, postal address (for Letters from Sissi sign-ups), message content, and information voluntarily provided.
PURPOSES
Making contact, answering questions, sending Letters from Sissi, administration and communication, and improving the website and artistic practice.
LEGAL BASIS
Consent, legitimate interest (improving the website), and performance of a contract.
RETENTION PERIODS
Data is not retained longer than necessary. Contact data is kept for as long as there is ongoing contact; Letters from Sissi data is kept until unsubscription.
SHARING WITH THIRD PARTIES
Data is never sold. Sharing only occurs when necessary, for example for hosting, mail processing for Letters from Sissi, or a legal obligation.
COOKIES
Functional cookies are used. Consent is requested in advance for any analytical or marketing cookies.
SECURITY
Appropriate technical and organizational measures are taken to protect personal data.
RIGHTS OF DATA SUBJECTS
Under the GDPR, there is a right to access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection, data portability, and withdrawal of consent. There is also the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

Unsubscribing is possible at any time by emailing letters@sissi-art.nl. letters@sissi-art.nl.
Terms & Conditions
GENERAL
These terms apply to all commissions and collaborations with Sissi Art. Placing a commission constitutes acceptance of these terms.
COMMISSIONS
A commission is only final upon written confirmation by email from Sissi Art. Sissi Art reserves the right to decline a commission.
PAYMENT
Payment terms are agreed individually per commission and confirmed by email. The start of a commission may depend on (partial) advance payment.
CANCELLATION
Cancellation of a commission is only possible by mutual agreement. If work on a commission has already started, costs for labor and materials may be charged.
CREATIVE FREEDOM
Sissi Art works from its own artistic vision. Client preferences are taken into account, but Sissi Art retains artistic freedom in execution and interpretation.
DELIVERY
Delivery times are agreed on an indicative basis. Delay does not give rise to any right to compensation.
LIABILITY
Sissi Art is not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All artworks remain the property of Sissi Art until payment has been received in full. A commission involves the purchase of the physical work, not the rights to the image.
RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL
Custom artworks are made to the client's specifications and are therefore legally exempt from the right of withdrawal. The right of withdrawal does apply to Letters from Sissi; see the terms below.
Letters from Sissi
Sign-up and price: Letters from Sissi is a monthly art mailing sent by post. The current price per edition is stated on the product page. Any pilot price applies for as long as indicated on the product page.
Payment: payment is processed monthly via a payment request by email. If payment is not received, the next mailing is paused until payment has been made.
Right of withdrawal: within 14 days of receiving the first mailing, the subscription may be withdrawn by email without giving a reason. The amount paid will then be refunded in full.
Cancellation: the subscription can be cancelled monthly by emailing letters@sissi-art.nl. Cancellation before the next payment request takes effect immediately; after that, cancellation takes effect from the following edition.
Shipping: mailings are shipped via PostNL. A damaged or missing mailing can be reported by email within 14 days, after which a suitable solution will be offered.
Copyright & Use of Artwork
All works (paintings, drawings, prints, photographs, digital images) are protected by copyright.
Ownership: intellectual property rights remain with Sissi Art, unless otherwise agreed.
Use: copying, reproducing, editing, or commercial use without written permission is not permitted.
Portfolio: Sissi Art retains the right to use works and process material for portfolio, promotion, website, and social media, unless specifically agreed otherwise.
Infringement: in the event of unauthorized use, Sissi Art reserves the right to take legal action.
Disclaimer
This website is an artistic portfolio.
Information and images have been compiled with care, but there is no guarantee that they are always complete or up to date.
Works shown may be part of earlier projects or commissions.
Colors and appearance may vary depending on screen settings.
No rights can be derived from the content.
Sissi Art is not liable for the content of external links.
Complaints & Applicable Law
Complaints: a complaint about a commission, mailing, or the website can be reported via info@sissi-art.nl. Complaints will receive a substantive response within 14 days.
Disputes committee: Sissi Art is not affiliated with a disputes committee.
Applicable law: Dutch law applies to all commissions, agreements, and use of this website.
